I LOVE MUSIC - is to bring together musicians and artists to unite under the LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM banner.
We will invite US hipop artists to support and UK hiphop /pop acts to support. We also have artists in the afro-punk scene. I Love music will have a top London DJ and 2 London artists presenting the night.
I love music will film and broadcast the event through the internet - using 2 cameras.
The event is to increase the bond between people through music and word;
To diminish racial and social differences between music genres, and to strengthen the perception of intelligent music.
London has long been a "melting pot" of genres and Londoners are often the original creators of international genres "punk" "grime" "D&B". We want to highlight the reason d'etre for this- maybe its because we are Londoners- we have many friends from different cultures -that helps the original creative process.
Artists will also film interviews prior to the event - giving more insight into their music, countries they have travelled to, any interesting stories or knowledge they would like to share with us.
i love music aims to have 1500 people attend the event December 2009. We hope that local papers will help promote the event as well as usual media .
