Pledge “hicksbillboard”

More details
The folks at GetUp.org.au have collected 50,000 names on a petition to bring David Hicks home from Guantanamo Bay, but Australia's Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, refuses to meet with them to accept it.

So GetUp are asking for donations to pay for mobile billboards to follow Downer, Ruddock and Howard's official cars around and highlight their shameful actions. I think it's a good idea and I'm willing to help – are you?

* Go to http://www.getup.org.au/campaign/DefendA... to add your name to the 50,000 (if you haven't already)

* Go to https://www.getup.org.au/secure/donatehi... to donate $25 to this campaign

  • What ever happened to the Geneva Convention? I guess only George W. Bush can decide when and where to apply it.

It is disgraceful that the Howard Government has allowed David Hicks to be treated like that. We cannot let this travesty of justice continue!

I have sent the $25 and will send another $25 if Paul's pledge is met.
Mary, 5 years ago. Abusive? Report it!
