"I will write to Sainsburys complaining that I find Disney DVDs offensive and asking that they be removed them from sale (as a protest against their decision to remove Jerry Springer The Opera DVD from sale in response to complaints by an extreme Christian Fundamentalist group) but only if 20 other people will do the same."

Sainsbury have received 10-20 complaints from a right wing extreme Christian Fundamentalist group about the Jerry Group The Opera DVD and in response to the complaints have withdrawn the DVD from sale.

This is wrong.
It is wrong for Sainsbury to base their stock decisions on the views of a small group of vocal extremists.
The Christian Voice group was responsible for a number of protests earlier in the year when Jerry Springer The Opera was shown on TV. The group (who refuse to reveal how many members they have) managed to attract significant attention for their minority and extremist views. During the furore the BBC reported that death threats had been received by some of their executives.
But the BBC resisted the protest and did the right thing by showing the film as planned.
Sainsbury have not resisted and have caved in to the demands of this very small group of vocal extremists.
Well, I believe Disney films offend common decency and their peddling of american values is an affront to established British values. So I plan to ask Sainsbury's not to sell them.
Given that they removed Jerry Springer from sale based on 10-20 letters of complaint, they ought to do the same for Disney DVDs if they receive 10-20 similar letters of complaint.
Join me in showing up how stupid Sainsbury's action is.
